BTV Mixamo Pro: Enhance Your Animation Workflow!!

A Powerful Upgrade to the Adobe Mixamo Addon!
This is Pro version of Adobe’s add-on but upgraded to Blender 4.4+. The biggest limitation of Adobe’s original Mixamo add-on is that after you’ve applied an animation with Apply Animation to Control Rig and moved your character around, adding another animation with it can distort the rig.
We Solved That In Two Ways!!
1. is figured out the exact reason for one of the rig distortion causes and implemented an automatic fix that happens whenever you select a character rig and click Apply Animation to Control Rig.
2. is with our Append and Animate feature that we created, initially, as a workaround for the distortion. With Append and Animate you can append a character from file or on import and instantly apply any animation.
3. is with our Append and Transfer feature that we created as a reliable fallback. With Append and Transfer you can append a character from file, copy the animation directly onto your selected/that same character, and automatically remove the appended character, ensuring the animation is applied successfully every time.
Apply Animation Is Smarter
Clicking Apply Animation to Control Rig is smarter too—if no rig exists, it automatically adds one.
These new approaches will make sure that you never have to stop animating when using BTV Mixamo Pro and with added documentation, informative error messages, better interface, and improved error handling throughout, the add-on now works in far more cases and delivers consistent results every time.
New Mixamo Downloader
We added a Mixamo Downloader button that opens up an interface where you can download all 2000 Mixamo Animations in 1-click!
It’s Fully Supported!
Also this add-on is fully supported. If there’s ever any issue as to the functionality…just let us know…We’ll get working on it ASAP.

Example of rig distortion
🙂How to Use Main Rig Distortion Fix🙂
Our latest rig distortion fix is automatically implemented whenever you click Apply Animation to Control Rig there’s absolutely no need to do anything different…🙂
🙂How to Use Append and Animate🙂
Initially, save your full character, rig and all, to it’s own asset file, and make sure everything related to your character is in a singular collection. Then: Choose asset file on panel . Enter the character’s collection name on panel. Make sure the animation you would like to add is selected in the Source Skeleton box. Click Append and Animate button to re-import the character and apply the new animation seamlessly…🙂
🙂How to Use Append and Transfer🙂
This works just like Append and Animate, except instead of keeping the appended character in your scene, you, first, select the character in your scene that you want to apply the animation to, then click the Append and Transfer button to import the character from your asset file and apply the Source Skeleton animation to it. The Append and Transfer feature then automatically copies the keyframes from the appended character to your selected character and deletes the appended character, providing a reliable workaround that ensures you can always apply animations to your character…🙂
🙂How to Use Append & Pose🙂
This works like Append & Transfer, except instead of transferring the entire animation, you choose a frame from the Source Skeleton animation and click the Append & Pose button. Mixamo Pro appends your clean character, applies the animation, copies the pose from your chosen frame onto the selected character, and automatically removes the appended character. This lets you instantly use any Mixamo animation frame as a starting pose for creating your own custom animation…🙂
🙂Add Animations Where You Want🙂
The Apply Animation to Control Rig and all 3 Append* operators can all add animation at the playhead or at the exact frame you choose. Turn on Same Action to keep building the current action, or turn it off to automatically use a different action. This lets you finish one scene, move the playhead forward, add the next performance, and keep animating without losing your place…🙂
🙂How to Mirror Hand Poses🙂
Use Left Hand → Right to copy and mirror the left IK hand pose onto the right side, or use Right Hand → Left to mirror the right IK hand pose onto the left side. The feature mirrors the hand and finger controls and also includes the pinky, shoulder, and arm-pole controls when they exist. This makes matching hand gestures and arm poses much faster without manually recreating them on the opposite side…🙂
🙂Create IK or FK Control Rigs🙂
Before clicking Create Control Rig, leave IK Arms and IK Legs turned on to create an IK rig, or turn both properties off to create an FK rig. The main animation, append, transfer, pose, frame-placement, and action-management workflows work with either rig type. This gives you the freedom to use the control system that best fits your animation style while keeping the same fast Mixamo Pro workflow…🙂
🙂How to Use the Mixamo Downloader🙂
Log into Mixamo via the Mixamo Downloader interface. Choose character, set your output path, and choose one of 3 options: T-Pose or Animations containing the word or All Animations.
T-Pose will download the T-Pose for your character.
Animations containing the word will download all animations tagged with a phrase, even if the phrase isn’t in name, thanks to Mixamo.com hidden tagging system.
All Animations will DOWNLOAD ALL 2200+ MIXAMO ANIMATIONS!..🙂
